Wrigley’s Airwaves® has today, 17th December 2008, announced that their long-term association with GSE Racing will continue as it becomes the title sponsor of the Airwaves Yamaha team for the 2009 British Superbike Championship season.

Airwaves Yamaha will be looking to secure back-to-back British Superbike Championship titles with riders Leon Camier and James Ellison aboard the all new Yamaha YZF-R1.

The Airwaves® sponsorship deal includes a host of benefits such as brand building opportunities throughout the team, excellent hospitality opportunities, ‘money can’t buy’ experiences plus access to both the team and riders and commercial opportunities with the GSE Group and Yamaha.

Toby Baker, Wrigley’s Marketing Director, said: "Airwaves® has had four fantastic years as title sponsor of GSE Racing and we’re looking forward to continuing our association as Airwaves Yamaha in 2009. After a title winning season in 2008 I know the team will be working hard to maintain our status as the best team in the paddock. With two talented riders in Leon Camier and James Ellison, Airwaves Yamaha is sure to provide more superb racing."

"The Airwaves Yamaha sponsorship is a superb fit for our brand values and 'KICK UP A GEAR®' vision. We’ve worked hard in activating our sponsorship for the benefit of everyone involved in the sport and are looking forward to continuing this relationship."

Colin Wright, GSE Racing Team Manager added: "I am extremely pleased that Wrigley’s Airwaves® will continue to support GSE Racing as we compete for a record fifth British Superbike championship. Next season will mark the start of an exciting new era for the team and one which would not be possible without the support of sponsors such as Airwaves®."
