Born 29 January 1987, Matt's the only full time British driver competing in the hotly contested World Rally Championship (WRC). As a bright hope for British WRC, Matt follows in his father's—former British champion Malcolm Wilson—footsteps. Wilson has always driven Ford Focus WRCs built and run in conjunction with Wilson senior's M-Sport team, which runs Ford's works team. In 2008, he maintained his excellent consistency with ten top-10 results - the best of which was 5th on Rally Jordan - and was placed 10th in the drivers' championship on a total of 15 points.
